Attic Demon Child
Given Name: Attic Demon Child
First Encounter: The Dusty Attic and Demon Child
Type: A non-human entity; seemed to be bound to the attic I found in The Dusty Attic and Demon Child, the attic seemed to be it's natural place
Appearance
Silhouette: small, childlike hand at first reach through the floorboards, and then later revealed to be a floating newborn infant-like creature that glided through the rafters.
Face/Eyes: dark-eyes, 'water-black'
Movement: sudden and precise like something slipping between frames; able to travel through the wood and air as if both were the same substance.
Voice: laughter, but wrong. No joy. A lure.
Observations
-
Seems to live in the rafters of this attic, unclear if there are similar entities in other attics
-
Witnessed gliding under the floor boards accompanied by a chilling breeze
-
Seems to use laughter as a bait
-
A touch from the entity seems to begin an entrapment of some kind
-
WARNING: From what I have observed the entity waits to see if the victim will have enough presence of mind to gently push back, this is all it takes to fend off the entity. However, failure to do so will enhance the trance, and the entity will return.
-
If the trance is not pushed away the entity will return and completely absorb the victim.
Notes
The attic place here seems to be indicative of a mind, of thought. This seems to make sense given my observations of how this world works. If that is correct then this entity could be distractive thoughts coming and going. The 'thought' lures the victim in and entrances the victim. The solution here is to gently push back and not engage the thought. Engagement with the unwanted thought, the entity, results in absorption of the victim.
